I’m getting over the awkward hump between Winter and Spring by wearing camel…

God I love a good pun.  :P

It’s truth though, camel is one of those colors you can wear year round. In Winter it makes a great topcoat (which you can buy in actual camel hair… it’s super soft, but also super expensive) and in Summer it’s the perfect shade for a linen tee.

I particularly like it paired with white and black this time of year. The black keeps it grounded in heavy ‘Winter tones’, but the white and camel are optimistic— like Spring is just around the corner (which I really hope is true). This coat is on the lighter side, so I can wear it well into the warmer months.

I paired it with cropped trousers cuz that’s my thing right now and this awesome leather and canvas backpack from Sportique. A crisp and clean look all around. Right?

Keep your eyes out for more camel in the weeks to come. It goes perfectly with indigo, white, brown, pastels and dusty blues, so I plan to wear it A LOT.

Do you have a ‘transition color’? Let me know in the comments below! I’m always hunting for inspiration.
