Burn Out

My calendar is a steam train that starts in October and ends with NYFW and we have just reached our destination! 

New York Fashion Week marks the end of a season and a chance to look ahead to the next. But I see it as a chance to take a beat and rest. 

Take a freakin' vacation.

Don't get me wrong, it has been a fantastic season! The Modern Otter is about to hit its One Year Anniversary and I could not be more proud. It took me a while to find my legs. I have developed a voice within my writing and a rhythm with my partner/photographer, Mike. My personal style will continue to grow, but I'm working hard to get content up and make connections, find new brands and discover new trends. It's not really about the destination, it's about how many things you discover along the way.  

So let's take a breather, shall we, and get out of dodge!?! 

I decided this is the year the Otter travels. I started a new hashtag: #otterexpedition, so stay tuned on social media for adventures throughout the year and some great partnerships with brands along the way!

First stop: Park City, Utah for a little ski and spa get away. 

The look above features my favorite coat from the season from Club Monaco. I paired it with a crisp polkadot shirt from Joe Fresh (which I'll be wearing well into Summer) and as always... a grey sweatshirt, cuz you can never own enough of those.
