Red, White and Blue

It's Memorial Day weekend, so I'm wearing red, white and blue... Obviously. I avoided the stars and stripes though and kept to the basics: white henley, red/orange belt and these awesome blue linen pants from Selected. I'm decked out for a BBQ, picnic or stroll along the pier!

Living in Astoria, it doesn't take long to get to a park with fantastic views of the city. At Hunters Point, Long Island City, there's this great stretch of pier and park overlooking the NY skyline. It comes complete with a soccer field, dog park, kid park and a little café. If it weren't so cloudy, I would have laid out on one of their wooden lounge chairs! You'll have to check it out if you're in the area. The views really can't be beat.
