Otter Expedition: Chicago
You can take the boy out of the city... but he's just going to go visit another city!
I always feel like I miss things when I visit Chicago. There are so many hidden gems spread out throughout the city and everywhere you turn there is a different architectural style. I know there are rooftop bars and shops I haven't discovered. This time around, we made it a point to do the architectural boat tour (it's kinda touristy, but really really interesting). The buildings are so reflective, you can't take a bad photo of the skyline.
Every time we visit, we stay with our friends, The Dana Hotel and Spa. It's a beautiful boutique hotel not far from the park with a fantastic spa and rooftop lounge. It's the perfect place to unwind and slow down for a few days. And just check out that giant walk in shower! Two rain shower heads, two steam room benches... the room even has two balconies to watch the sun set! It's pretty much perfect.
That duffel bag tho...
I have been obsessed with the Hook & Albert Garment Weekender since I first saw Justin Livingston post about it a few months back. It's literally a garment bag that zips up into a full size weekender. Talk about multifunction! Like a little transformer. I met with the guys behind Hook & Albert the other day, and let me tell you, there are some cool convertible bags coming your way soon. This awesome weekender is just the tip of the iceberg! Stay tuned. ;)
Thanks to Hook & Albert and the Dana Hotel and Spa for a great trip!! I'll be seeing you both real soon!
