NYFW
This season's biggest trend is hypothermia.
Fashion influencers and bloggers alike are migrating to Lincoln Center to collectively pretend we are warm in 10 degree weather! The only relief is the runway!
I kid. I kid. I'm sure that woman in the fur hat and striped jacket behind me is warm...
But really... Loving my new Club Monaco parka and super glad I had a thick shirt and blazer underneath. Feeling Spring 15' colors while living AW15' weather.
Some of my favorites from the runway so far? Todd Snyder's tailored wool trench coats, the patterned jackets from Concept Korea, and the neoprene bombers from Ricardo Seco. I'm all about that outerwear! Maybe that's just where my mind is at... Oh, and the varsity cargo joggers from Mark McNairy (who, p.s., previewed his collection like a film premiere. I watched Nick Wooster take 'selfies' of Nick Wooster walking in a runway show on a movie screen. Very meta.)
More to come as the week unfolds. Temps set to drop to 0* on Monday so we may be previewing collections from our living rooms...
