More Sale Is Better
Look. I shop a lot. Like, A LOT.
You can’t be an expert in your field if you don’t shop the field, right?
I really just started this fashion blog to fuel my addiction, so THANK YOU for feeding into it by reading this right now! I mean, I can’t answer questions about where to find the best kimono PJ’s if I didn’t spend an entire afternoon hunting SoHo for the perfect pair. Right?!
(they’re at Muji, fyi)
And after 10 years working in retail, I learned to keep my ear to the ground and listen for where the best sales are happening… [Coupon Qween over here]… and right now, the best one is at Neiman Marcus.
Not to discount the Billy Kirk Online Sample Sale or the Parke and Ronen Sale on Gilt.
My style is a mix of luxury apparel and more mainstream brands— It’s a big mashup. I think you should be able to wear a $5 tee with $400 pants. Cuz why not? Style has nothing to do with the designer’s name printed on the label. I do believe in quality though, and I believe there are pieces worth investing in and pieces you can afford to cut corners on.
In all my hunting, I stumble on those crazy-covetable designer finds that I just have to have, either because the design itself is really cool, or cuz I know the quality is fantastic and I’ll have it in my closet forever. You can go through thirty $5 tees, but that Tom Ford suit is here to stay.
So how do you buy designer without breaking the bank? Sale sale sale. Hit it at the right time and you can make out like a bandit.
Right now, Neiman Marcus is running their ‘More Is Better’ sale event. Meaning,
if you buy one sale item, you save an extra 25% off.
If you buy two sale items, you save an extra 30% off.
If you buy three or more, you save an extra 35% off.
Basically, the more you shop, the more you save.
To help you on your hunt, I rounded up my favorite designer finds from the Neiman Marcus Sale! Check out the pieces below, shop this look and be sure to let me know what you find so I can shop it too! ;P
