The Modern Otter is one year old!!!

We've come a long way in the past year and I can't thank all of you enough for following along!! 

This year flew by in one big blur of grey and blue. From Chambray of the Day (a week full of chambray shirts...) to my second New York Fashion Week. From Indigo in the Summer to Indigo in the Winter (above)-- it's been a journey to say the least! 

Now, I'm crazy passionate about fashion, but truth be told, I'm a pretty introverted guy. It's hard to tell through photos, but PR events and parties aren't really my scene. It's the hunt for what's next and pulling everything together that I love. The stories, the creation, the writing.

I started The Modern Otter to offer a fresh take on sportswear-- but to also offer insight on color, trend and fabrication. Quality vs. quantity. To find amazing small brands that create well-made clothing.

That's what it's all about. I wanted to learn and teach. 

My style might not be your style, but I hope I can offer a few bits of inspiration along the way!

I could not do it without my amazing partner and photographer, Mike! It's a whole lot more work than you might think and I am so lucky to have him. <3
