Fitted

I'm overly particular about how clothes fit my body. I think everyone should be. A well fit suit can make a HUGE difference in the work place, and a well fit leather jacket can make all the difference in the streets.

I'm not saying all your clothing needs to be as tailored as these cargo pants, I'm just saying you should find clothing that fits your body correctly. Example: my hips are wider than my natural waist line (your natural waist is actually where your belly button sits... for those of you who haven't had an old school tailor measure you for tuxedo pants and try to convince you they should sit just below your chin, like the good ol' days), so an open jacket balances out my body when I'm wearing tailored pants. It makes my upper half look broader and punctuates the skinny pant leg. Curved lines --> masculine lines.

If you have broad shoulders or torso, wear straight cut trousers and fitted shirts. It will balance you out. And everyone likes a well balanced man.

...Not a rule I always follow... but it is a trick I use to quickly pull together looks sometimes. You'll see a lot of open jackets with fitted pants on the blog. I also roll pant cuffs a few extra times when I'm wearing a kick ass shoe and always leave the buttons open on my denim and leather jacket sleeves.
