Getting Fresh with Mr. P
MR PORTER has been one of my favorite places to shop for as long as I can remember. They curate the BEST assortment of luxury and fine menswear brands on the internet! Plus, they have incredibly fast shipping and their packaging is second to none (most of the time your clothes arrive in a sturdy white box, wrapped in tissue with your name written on it). Other companies really need to take a cue from MR PORTER when it comes to service and the overall customer experience. You can find everything on their site from J.Crew to Tom Ford, so there’s something for everyone.
Beyond hosting hundreds of other brands, MR PORTER recently created their own line! Titled Mr. P, it’s a bi-annual collection of easy pieces with smart details (i.e. everything I look for when shopping). The line has clean lines and simple patterns, but there are a few bold colors thrown in. There’s also a bit of nostalgia in the designs, like they picked their favorite silhouettes from the last 50 years, made minor tweaks to them but kept all the best parts. It’s fresh, yet timeless at the same time.
The coat in the photo above is unlined, so it’s perfect for layering while it’s still early in the season, and it’s made from really soft Italian wool. I love it! I wore it on my recent trip to London and it’s been great for the inconsistent weather in NYC.
I also picked up this bold blue and brown striped short sleeve shirt from the collection, because how could I not?! It makes such a great statement and will be great with shorts or denim all summer long. Mr. P also nailed softer pinks, blues and greens in their current season. I’m planning to lean more into the 1950’s vibe this summer, so I particularly love their knit polos and short sleeve shirts.
Alright, well, hopefully I raved about the Mr. P collection enough to convince you to check it out. Writing this post made me go back to the site and add more things to my cart, so expect to see them more and more on my feed!
