Italian Style- Milan Pt. 2

Lesson I learned in Milan: Italian men don't wear cropped pants.

Or at least, not many of them do... Lots of skinny pants and some wide leg, but I was singular in my inseam.

But that's alright!! You can't make a statement by blending in with the crowd. I still fully stand by my bare ankles (something I would not have said when I started this blog).

Any time I wear cropped pants though, I like to play with proportion. I either wear a longer coat (like my last post from Milan), or I opt for everything to be a little cropped.

This boxy jacket is from COS stores, one of my new favorite brands, who completely embrace a short inseam and wide cuts. I paired it with super comfortable, wide leg trouser and a short striped shirt from TopMan.

The wider coat and wide leg pant balanced with short silhouettes made for a cool style, I think. Easy, soft tailoring. Perfect for running around town.

What do you think of the look? Would you wear it?!?

P.S. The picture above on the left is from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, an incredibly beautiful open air luxury mall right next the the Duomo. The pic on the left is from a little café that we stopped at almost every morning called Pavè. Both are definitely worth checking out.
