Taking Chelsea Uptown
Sponsored by Zappos.
Boot season is finally here!!! It went from feeling like Summer, to damn near freezing in a matter of days, so I spent my weekend soaking up every last bit of Fall before all the leaves fall off the trees. There is a park just North of the Cloisters in Manhattan that looks just like the Hudson Valley. Just take the A train ALL the way to the end, and you're there. The park is quiet and is next to one of my favorite brunch places, Indian Road Cafe! My idea of a perfect Saturday afternoon is: IRC brunch, farmers market shopping and wandering along these forested paths. There's nothing better!
Naturally, I dressed for the occasion: plaid coat, merino wool scarf, cable knit sweater and these killer Stacy Adams chelsea boots from Zappos. I styled the black suede version awhile back in an edgier, moto-inspired look and have wanted the tan ever since! I love how the color compliments the warm tones in the sweater and jacket. They're quintessential Fall colors.
I really love cap-toed boots. They age incredibly well because they bend right at the seam rather than forming a crease across the front of your boot. Suede already feels a little lived-in, so the whole boot just continues to look great throughout the season.
I am always impressed by Stacy Adams' range of shoes. They make super flashy shoes for the dapper dandy, but offer more rugged styles for casual guys like me. I know I'll be switching back and forth between the black and tan all season long and I can't wait! Shop more of the Stacy Adams line over on Zappos.com!
