Sty-king
You don’t have to sacrifice style to hike in the woods. If “glamping” is a thing (glamorous camping), what can’t “sty-king” be a thing (stylish hiking)?
Your Fall essentials still translate from city streets to mountain trails. All you need is: a sturdy pair of boots, thick socks, a warm coat and a heavy duty backpack. Once you have your bases covered, you’re ready for any kind of adventure.
For this season’s #OtterExpedition, we took to the North in Stowe, Vermont! We missed the leaves falling, but it’s still absolutely gorgeous up in the mountains.
If you’re in town, hike the Moss Glen Falls Trail. It’s an admittedly easy hike, but it ends at an absolutely stunning waterfall and gorge. Just be careful on the mossy rocks, they’re slippery without the right shoes. These Florsheim boots have extra tough grips on the bottom (a lot of boots don’t, so this is a must!).
We packed all our camera equipment and snacks for the trail in our Thule backpack. It’s heavy duty enough to take a tumble down the mountain without damaging your gear. It even has a specially padded pocket for your sunglasses.
For the rest, I kept with the things I love: a classic peacoat from Original Penguin and these no-sweat joggers from Duer. All my otter essentials.
Already packing for our next adventure! What are some of your sty-king essentials?
Original Penguin peacoat / Original Penguin shawl collar sweater / Stock x High Life flannel shirt / Duer joggers (coming soon!) / J.Crew camp socks / Florsheim boots / Thule backpack
