I don’t care if Summer is just around the corner, I’m not giving up my boots!!

I agree, they may not be the best shoe at the beach, but otherwise, boots are just perfect for everything.

They’re called desert boots for a reason! Sand and snow, it’s a level playing field.

Now, I’m not talking a sherpa lined, 7” inch tall, steal toed, Winter behemoth. You have to switch gears when the sun starts coming out and the pavement bakes you alive in Midtown. You want a boot that is going to breathe and not weigh you down.

So find a desert boot or mid-rise in a thinner suede or leather. You want something light weight and light colored, like a light brown or sand. I’m hooked on camels and neutrals, so the lighter shade matches everything in my closet.

Save the black boots for Fall and Winter!

This pair from Crosby Square has a desert military vibe with contrasting brown leather details. They make me feel like I should be wearing all linen and racing Hidalgo through the ‘Ocean of Fire’.

…Hidalgo was the horse, right? Cuz that would be a real awkward race if it wasn’t.

And there’s so something casually cool about these boots. I’ll definitely wear them with shorts and linen as I play out my desert dreams in the city this Summer.

Onward Hidalgo! Into the sun!
