Latest trend: leather on everything. 

Whether it's fake, vegan or genuine, leather is popping up on menswear (and womenswear) all over the place. Brands are adding leather yokes, elbow patches, forearms, plackets and pockets. It's a great way to elevate and add subtle details to an otherwise basic sweater or sweatshirt. And subtlety is key here! You don't want one that's leather all over... just a touch here and there. Something to make people go "Hey! Thats a cool detail!". 

I'm a proponent of the leather elbow patch. But that's cuz I flex my funny bone so often. ;)

The leather also justifies the price of a quality sweater these days. Another thing I'm loving right now? A portfolio. It's a bit larger than an iPad case so you can carry keys, cords and paper but compact enough so you're not lugging around a bag all day long. It's awesome if you're running for a quick meeting or want to travel light. Just get over the fact that it looks like a clutch... It's a portfolio. Carry with confidence and people won't think twice about it.
