If you scrolled this far, you’re probably ready to book a flight to Vermont, right?

I used to ski Vermont all the time as a kid. Mt. Snow was my jam! It’s close enough to the city to do a weekend getaway (45 min flight) and has some of the best skiing! Mike and I even spent one of our first vacations together in Woodstock. There’s something so charming and romantic about small New England towns.

Everyone is going to Montauk these days… and they’re missing out. Vermont is where it’s at!

If you head further North, just shy of the boarder, you’ll hit Stowe. It’s a little storybook town nestled between some amazing mountains. Lark has a new boutique lodge called The Field Guide became our home away from home during our trip.

The Field Guide is like a cozy, chic, beautiful, manly cabin.

It’s exactly how I want my home to look and I’m probably going to go on a West Elm shopping spree trying to copy it.

The soaking tub and paper elk head locked me in, but the hot tub, fire pit and morning breakfast basket would have been enough. ;)  I mean, come on!

Mike and I hiked to a gigantic waterfall in the middle of the woods (you can see more here), took a tour of the Ben & Jerry’s factory (totally worth the trip), and went to an apple orchard (for the hard cider and doughnuts, obviously). The weather was somewhere in between Fall and Winter, so we missed out on the dog sledding and skiing that I’m sure everyone is doing right now, but it was still gorgeous! The rust colors made for a perfect backdrop.

If you’re heading North, book The Field Guide. Hands down. And be sure to do their Instagram Scavenger Hunt

Thanks to Lark and The Field Guide for an amazing stay! Hope to see you again soon!

Hit me up if you guys need any suggestions of things to do in Stowe!
