There's a new Jeffrey Koons retrospective at The Whitney that you absolutely have to check out if you're in the city. I went this past Saturday and his large scale plastic and aluminum sculptures are unbelievable. He recreates everyday objects in completely different materials. It's fascinating. My favorite was a stack of lawn chairs with inflated pool toys suspended in the middle (as if a hole were cut directly through the chairs)-- completely recreated in metal. I was 2 inches away and still convinced it was plastic. It's like Duchamp on acid.

It was a beautiful day so I busted out my floral chinos from Scotch & Soda. They have a muted color pallet but completely unexpected pattern. I balanced the flowers with a simple chambray shirt. A bit of color and structure to ground the whole look. Clean white sneakers bring it all home.

Scotch & Soda pants / J-Crew chambray shirt / Sperry Topsider sneakers / Ray Ban sunglasses / Coach watch / Meredith Anne Sutton polo cuff
