I wasn't able to go home for Thanksgiving this year (that visual merchandiser life), so my partner and I decided to host Thanksgiving ourselves! We crammed a giant table and 9 people into our tiny NYC apartment. It was a ton of work, but thanks to his strict oven schedule and my last minute errands, it went amazingly well. It was so wonderful to have both sides of our family come together. Hopefully you are able to spend the holidays with your friends and loved ones too. It's really to best part of the season. That and giving gifts, of course. I'm sure I'll do a whole post on wrapping presents soon enough.

Ok. back to the fashion...

J-Crew partnered with illustrator Hugo Guinness to add some wit to their knits, like this marled sweatshirt. He says he took the phrase "Home ward bound" from an old dock worker's bag but all I can think about is the movie from the 90's with Shadow, Chance and Sassy-- the cat and dog trio who traveled across the country to reunite with their family. I'm pretty sure it's engrained in my generation's memory and it completely embodies what I think the holidays are all about. As cheesy as it sounds, home is wherever you are with your loved ones.

(ps. Chance was always my favorite)

I'm also a scarf fanatic. I have them in a million colors, but I always seem to reach for the grey ones. Surprise, surprise! This one is super chunky and soft-- keeps you warm and feeling like Lenny Kravitz.

So what do you think the holidays are all about?
