Grooming The Otter Pt. 2

This photo makes my shower routine look a lot more glamorous than it actually is... but I'm rolling with it.  Let's pretend it's not 4am and my hair isn't formed into a mohawk from my pillow. Ok?  ;)

I wrote a post awhile back about my morning grooming routine (check it out here), but I completely left out my shower routine. I assumed we all knew how to wash ourselves. But after a recent upgrade from Dove Men + Care and Kiehl's, I decided it was time to dispense a little more grooming know-how.  No set rules, just some products I love that you should check out.

I dig the whole Dove Men + Care line (I use their deodorant and face lotion too), but these ones are multi-functional, cutting your bottle count in half! The Extra Fresh Body and Face will get you clean all over but there's a touch of menthol that gives you a cooling sensation in the process. It's like a kick to help wake you up while the body wash freshens you.... extra freshens, that is. The Shampoo and Conditioner moisturizes and has caffeine to strengthen your hair. A key when you have longer hair like mine. They're products made for men, with manly scents. It just makes sense. So stop picking up that floral scented crap and get your shower game in order!

Kiehl's is just another awesome brand. They make awesome products that work wonders for your skin. I highly recommend their face lotion. It'll make your skin feel soft all day. This shave cream is really the first step. It helps me get a closer shave on my neck. I won't completely shave my jaw, but I'm an advocate for never having a neck-beard. It's the difference between looking pulled together and looking like a mountain man. The bar of soap is also Kiehl's and has little oat beads inside that help exfoliate the skin. Again, great scent.
