Greaser
I'm a harmless guy, but add a leather jacket and boots and I almost look like trouble!
...Or like a T-bird and I'm about to break into a song and dance about my new muscle car and the great Summer I just had...... yeah, that's probably more likely.
It's easy to add edge to your look with a moto-jacket and boots while still looking polished. Just think about James Dean or the greasers from the 1950's. They had a grungy style, but were for the most part pretty clean and pulled together. They slicked their hair back, cared about their appearance but were tough, masculine, cool guys.
Most of us basically have the hairstyle already! Just avoid hair grease or anything resembling it and you'll be good to go.
I paired my leather with this pair of distressed flex denim from American Eagle. They're a little grunge mixed with a little polish, and are made from stretch cotton so they're ridiculously comfortable (and 'flex'ible). Great for afternoon meet-ups into evening drinks.
You won't catch me on a motorcycle though. In this city?!? Not a chance.
What are your thoughts on the greaser look? Time for a modern resurgence?
