Find Your Fit
I workout 3x a week. Some would call that "moderate" activity. I call it just the right amount. It's enough to keep me active, building muscle steadily and fighting off the extra pounds that seem intent on forming around my middle. #30isREAL
I know I should work out every day if I want to build those blogger abs, but it's not easy. I schedule appointments with a trainer just to ensure I go (and ensure I know what the hell I'm doing). Our focus is to build muscle, not drop 20 lbs, which means less cardio and more strength training.
So with all of that... the moderate activity with an intent to build muscle and look good... I look for tools to keep me on track and make my workouts fun. I used to work in retail and was on my feet all day, every day, for over 10 years. But now that I work from home, I have to work to get in my steps!
That's where Amazfit comes in. They're an innovative brand that produces activity trackers to fit your lifestyle. I partnered with them to try out their latest styles over the last two month and 'find my fit'. Turns out, I'm in love with two of them! I use the Pace for my gym workouts and the Arc when I want to track my footsteps on non-gym days.

The Pace is the smartwatch pictured above. It has the shape of a traditional smartwatch, but you can customize what the face looks like using the app on your phone. It vibrates, shows you incoming text messages, tracks your heart rate in a graph over an extended period, and you can store music on it so you can workout without your phone. Just connect your bluetooth headphones to it and you're good to go.
That's what makes it perfect for my style of training. I can listed to music, ensure my heart rate is where it should be during my endurance training and it lets me know when I'm missing text messages so I can continue to ignore them till after my workout. ;)
I didn't want to endorse these without running them through the ringer, and I'm totally on board with the Pace. It's really cool and has everything you could ask for in a smartwatch/activity tracker combo.
This one is the Arc. It's a slimmer style, more like a traditional fitness tracker. I layer it with my Giles & Brother bracelet when I want to track my steps while running around the city. I shoot for 10,000 steps a day just to make sure I'm staying active.
It tracks your heart rate and works as a sleep tracker as well, but it's definitely more streamlined than the Pace.
