A Scandinavian in NY
Every man needs a good chunky cardigan in the Fall. I usually pick up a few alpine sweaters once the weather chills out and this one has an awesome Intarsia knit running through it. Intarsia patterns have the appearance of inlayed wood or marble. The term comes from a floor mosaic technique. Banana Republic has me every year with their cable knit and alpine sweaters. Cozy and stylish. Note the color blocked shoulder for definition.... cuz I need that.
While my sweaters are venturing to the other side of the globe, so are my sunglasses. I picked these up from a Norwegian company called Kaibosh. They are putting out some truly classic and modern styles in some kick ass colors. I of course grabbed the grey ones but the hunter green and reversible styles are definitely worth checking out. And they have great names like "A Scandinavian in NY" and "Chips & Salsa". Not available in the US just yet, but keep an ear to the ground on this one.
What do you think? Would you wear alpine?
