April Showers

These April showers have me feeling some kind of way... clearly.

If you live anywhere other than California or Arizona, you need to plan for Spring rain. I'm horrible about looking at my weather app before I walk out the door, but it's probably a good idea to start packing a small umbrella in your bag at all times. It's sunny one second and you're swimming the next!

If you know it's going to rain, you should obviously dress for it though. No suede shoes or white sneakers (my two staples), and find yourself a versatile rain coat. You want something that's light weight, water repellant and doesn't make you look like you kill teenagers for what they did last Summer. It should be basic enough to wear with both a suit and denim, but have enough detail so you can still look stylish when you're drenched. Buttons, pockets and color are key!

And it should be fitted. There is no reason your coat should swallow you when the clouds come out! Slim parkas exist.

I did some leg work for you and found a handful of cool rain coats to amp up your weather wardrobe. They're a mix of high end and accessible pieces, but all meet the requirements. Check em out below!

Let me know in the comments if you find other ones I need to look at! I'm always on the hunt.
